'Angui ou Selmi' is swinging between synth wave, electronic funk and Oranese blues. It's a sulphurous song in its subject matter - drunkenness, jealousy - as well as in its judicial chronicle : Cheb Rabah wrote this song in the 80s, and Khaled was accused of plagiarising it in his song ‘Didi’, the hit that brought Raï into mainstream music... Cheb Rabah won his case and later lost on appeal. However, he remains the author of a major theme of the genre: it is the underground hit that you feel you already know when hearing it for the first time, today in this 'retromod' version produced by Baron Rétif.
